Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state is one politician who does not allow his position deter him from identifying with the common man.

The governor was spotted on Tuesday, February 21, enjoying a plate of amala with gbegiri, ewedu and ogufe (goat meat), a local delicacy at a restaurant in the federal capital territory (FCT), Abuja.

This is something majority of other governors may find hard to do.

Fayose sat comfortably, eating his amala with all his fingers and not minding who is watching.

The photos were shared by his spokesman, Lere Olayinka, with the caption: “Just like you and I, Governor Fayose doing justice to amala with gbegiri, ewedu and ogufe (goat meat) at the popular Iya Oyo Amala Joint, Wuye, Abuja.

“No retinue of security men, just the Governor and a few of his friends taking care of their stomach. Say what you like, na you know. Hisssssssssh.”

Governor Fayose even posed for the cameras

This is coming after Fayose, who serves as the chairman of the Peopls Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, said he would rule Nigeria as president and commander-in-chief very soon.

On Monday, February 20, Fayose stated that every morning he carries “Bible bullets to fight the All Progressives Congress, (APC).”

Below is a video of Governor Fayose asking for transparency on President Muhammadu Buhari's health status.
